PhD Student Favour Nerrise Wins Both Top Prizes at Stanford’s Inaugural 3-Minute Thesis Competition

Exciting news from the Stanford Translational AI Lab (STAI)! On April 17, our very own PhD student Favour Nerrise delivered an extraordinary three-minute presentation of her doctoral research and walked away with both of the competition’s highest honors: the People’s Choice Award and the Judges’ First Prize.

Favour’s clear and concise presentation impressed both the audience and the judging panel, which included:

  • Provost Jennifer Martinez

  • Condoleezza Rice, Director of the Hoover Institution

  • Martin Shell, Vice President and Chief External Relations Officer

  • Howard E. Wolf, Vice President for Alumni Affairs and President of the Stanford Alumni Association

We congratulate Favour on this achievement and thank Stanford leadership and the competition organizers for making the event possible.
